Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) submitted Decrees (SK) to dozens of Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) who passed the selection in 2021 in the Rectorate’s Ganesha III room, Wednesday (29/6/2022). Civil servant lecturers and educational staff are required to become winners, not losers.
The SK was submitted by Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for General Administration, Planning, Finance and Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd to 39 CPNS lecturers and five CPNS Education Personnel. He was accompanied by the Head of the General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd, and witnessed by the Deans and Deputy Deans.
On this occasion, Lasmawan conveyed directions from the Chancellor. One of them is related to the policy in 2030, all Undiksha lecturers have doctoral qualifications or zero master’s. By CPNS, this policy must be followed up no later than five years after the determination of acceptance as civil servants. “The minimum limit as a lecturer now is a master’s degree. So the Chancellor hopes not to be proud of being a person with minimal competence. In his terms, these CPNS could become para-winner. Do not be a loser,” he stressed. The winner in question is being able to win in terms of competence, being able to support the university to be more advanced, and being able to achieve achievements. “That was the wish of the Chancellor,” said Lasmawan.
It is said further, further studies need to be prepared early. It is hoped that the studies taken will be able to strengthen the field of study they already have or the existence of the study program where they teach. “Indeed, the language of linearity no longer exists now. Because with the development of scientific disciplines, the development of academic social problems, mono discipline, is increasingly being abandoned in terms of problem-solving approaches. But when it comes to strengthening competence, further studies should be carried out to strengthen existing self-competence and strengthen the study program,” he explained.
The CPNS also signed an integrity fact which contained several points concerning ethics, behavior, self-development, and self-promise. It is hoped that this can be understood and obeyed.
In addition to conveying the Chancellor’s direction, the Deputy Chancellor from Bonyoh Village, Kintamani District, Bangli also gave specific directions. He invited all CPNS to maintain the stability of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, not to carry out radicalism, and to prioritize anti-corruption attitudes. The invitation was also a message conveyed by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
He added that Undiksha as an academic institution makes the Tri Hita Karana philosophy the basis for performance. This philosophy invites the entire academic community to establish good relations with God, with others, and with the environment, the end of which is a harmonious life. CPNS are invited to always implement this universal philosophy, including in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research, and community service. In addition, CPNS must also be proud to be part of Undiksha. “Let’s always improve self-competence, always maintain the dignity of the institution in togetherness,” he concluded.
Anak Agung Ngurah Putra Laksana, CPNS at the Faculty of Sports and Health said he was happy to receive the SK which was the result of his struggle to take part in the selection. He also stated his commitment to support the development of Undiksha through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The same thing was also conveyed by Yuliastuti, CPNS at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This woman from Aceh admits that she will continue to improve her competence so that she can contribute to making Undiksha more superior and more competitive.
After receiving the SK, these CPNS immediately carried out orientation assignments to faculties and sections and then prepared to take part in Instructional Technique Basic Skills Improvement Training (PEKERTI) organized by Undiksha and Basic Training organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
