Singaraja– Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to make efforts to improve the quality of graduates. One of them is by increasing the pedagogical competence of lecturers. This is done through workshop activities on April 28, 2022.
In this activity that takes place offline and online, the preparation of learning tools is the topic raised. The material consists of projects, cases, and problem-based learning. The presenters are
Agus Nugroho, S.T.,M.T from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Parwati, M.Pd from Undiksha.
This activity was opened by the Head of the Undiksha Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPPPM), Prof. Dr. I Made Ardana, M.Pd. He said that improving the quality of graduates was a serious concern for Undiksha. It is hoped that graduates will become superior people, have high competence, and have good character. This is reflected in the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of tertiary institutions, namely being able to get a decent job, being able to continue on to higher education, and being able to create jobs through entrepreneurship.
In order to realize this, Ardana emphasized that it must be supported by excellent lecturers who have good competence, both pedagogic, social, and others. This workshop activity is expected to be a medium to make it happen.
“In this activity, we discuss learning tools in the hope of adding insight regarding the field of pedagogic competence,” he explained.
Delivered further, the material provided at this workshop is to build a collaborative, responsive, or participatory class. This ability is very important for graduates to have, especially in the technological era. (hms)
