Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to boost the re-accreditation of Study Programs (Prodi). Friday (10/5/2019), it was the turn of the Educational Technology Study Program (TP) of the Faculty of Education to receive a field assessment from the Assessor Team of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The presence of the Assessor Team consisting of Dr. Cepi Riyana, M.Pd., and Dr.H.Ahmad Yusuf Sobri, S.Sos., M.Pd., was welcomed by Vice Chancellor II Undiksha. Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Chancellor III, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes, Deputy Chancellor IV, Drs. I Wayan Suarnajaya, M.A., Ph.D., Dean of FIP, Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Suarni, M.S, Lecturer in the Educational Technology Study Program and student.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lasmawan said that accreditation of study programs was one of the things that received serious attention from the Chancellor, including the staff. This is an effort to improve the institution’s grades and increase competitiveness. “Accreditation was announced by the Chancellor in 2016. Now only five study programs have A. We hope that Educational Technology can also get the same thing,” he explained.
As a developing university, Undiksha continues to make efforts to improve quality, both in terms of facilities and infrastructure and Human Resources (HR). “Now the institution’s accreditation is A. We continue to make improvements to improve quality. “This year there are 22 study programs that are undergoing re-accreditation,” he said.
Meanwhile, the assessor team, Cepi Riyana, said that before going down to carry out the field assessment, his party had carried out an assessment regarding the adequacy of the forms submitted previously, including an early evaluation. “We have a very good impression regarding that (form). “Of course, through this field assessment, hopefully, it will provide further strengthening,” he said.
On that occasion, it was also conveyed that in the accreditation process, data was input through the Online Higher Education Accreditation System (SAPTO). According to him, this requires caution. Because discrepancies are often found with the data on the form. “For the forms submitted by the TP Study Program, we will cross-check in such a way, especially the quantitative data,” he added. Apart from the TP Study Program, the previous re-accreditation was also carried out by the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) and succeeded in getting an A grade. (hms)
