Singaraja- The re-accreditation field assessment of Study Programs (Prodi) at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues. After Educational Technology, Faculty of Educational Sciences, it was the turn of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program (PPKn) of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS) to be targeted, on Tuesday (21/5/2019).
The arrival of a team of assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) consisting of Prof. Drs. Mukhtasar Syamsuddin, M.Hum., Ph.D., and Dr. Jawatir Pardosi was welcomed by Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si, Deputy Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd and Deputy Chancellor IV, Drs. I Wayan Suarnajaya, M.A., Ph.D., and the leadership and lecturer at FHIS.
Vice Rector I, Prof. In his speech, Arnyana expressed his appreciation to the assessor team for being willing to carry out a field assessment not long after submitting the forms. “We heard that there were many people proposing re-accreditation. “We are grateful because we have now received a field assessment,” he explained.
Furthermore, in this assessment, the team is expected to pay attention to the correspondence between the data on the form and in the field. However, there are also inputs and evaluations for study programs that are important in relation to improving quality. “Input is really needed so that the study program gets better,” said the former Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA).
This year, re-accreditation is targeted to be carried out for 20 study programs spread across a number of faculties. The PGSD study program, which has previously received a field assessment, has successfully received A accreditation from B. Other study programs, including PPKN, are also expected to do so. “The institution’s accreditation is also A,” he said.
Meanwhile, assessor Prof. Mukhtasar appreciated his reception by Undiksha which he felt was very warm. “We thank you for your acceptance. Very warm,” he said. He also emphasized that the assessment is more about matching data. “After examining the form we received, it was good. “We adjust it to data in the field,” he said. (hms)
