Singaraja- Panji Anom Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency will be proposed to become a special interest tourism village. Consolidating this, Undiksha academics who are members of the Community Service Program (P2M) team will provide socialization and assistance on May 22, 2021.
The academics are from the Faculty of Sports and Health, consisting of Dr. Syarif Hidayat, M.Pd. Ketut Chandra Adhinata Kususma, M.Pd. and Kadek Yogi Parta Lesmana, M.Pd. In between these activities, Syarif Hidayat explained that the development of special interest tourism villages was feasible, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. “This special interest tour is in the form of tracking,” he explained.
Delivered further, Panji Anom Village which is included in the Sudamala watershed has extraordinary natural potential, such as expanses of rice fields with terraces. Apart from that, it is also supported by the cultural potential that is still well maintained by the people, such as the traditional game of magoak-goakan. The natural potential and local wisdom really support the development of this special tourism. “Tracking is very attached to nature. Panji Anom Village has that,” he said.
The socialization and assistance carried out are related to the design of tourism management by the village. It is hoped that the village will truly become a milestone in future development. “We hope that later this village will really be able to manage its tourism village and be able to add tourist destinations in Buleleng Regency,” said Syarif Hidayat.
The development of this tourist village, he continued, is expected to improve the economy of the community and the village. Assistance will be carried out on an ongoing basis, with the hope that the tourism business in this mountainous area will be more competitive. “We hope this program can provide maximum results for the village,” he concluded.
This socialization and mentoring activity was attended by village officials and hamlet heads throughout Panji Anom Village. This activity presented resource person Ketut Suteja, as Head of Tourism Destinations of the Buleleng Tourism Office. This activity received a positive response from the Head of Panji Anom Village, Made Gina. Based on the results of the discussion, his party will immediately formulate a proposal for a special interest tourism village. He also hopes to continue to collaborate with academics in order to make his village one of the tourist villages in Buleleng Regency which can be opened after the pandemic. (rls/hms)
