Singaraja- The Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha held a Working Meeting (Raker) for the 2021 fiscal year program, Tuesday (28/1/2020). This working meeting was opened by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. It is hoped that the program rolled out by the faculty can fully support the acceleration of realizing Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. This also refers to ministerial policies regarding the Independent Campus policy.
The Work Meeting activity which took place in the Seminar Room of the FIP B Building has 4 main program agendas as priority programs to support what has been proclaimed by the Rector of Undiksha, namely faculty clustering, currently, FIP is ranked I, FIP preparation towards accreditation 9 criteria, program preparation FIP to support the Chancellor’s performance agreement, and the last is the development of the Faculty Strategic Plan. “These four programs are a priority to implement,” said Gading.
These four priority programs are carried out systematically by degrading them as faculty work programs that refer to the fulfillment of the 9 accreditation assessment criteria indicators in the next period. It is hoped that through this program, FIP will be able to optimally support all programs proclaimed by the Chancellor. “What we are planning is expected to support the acceleration of realizing Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045,” he concluded.
At the meeting, Vice Chancellor II Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., as a guest speaker. He explained that until now Undiksha still needs improvement. As well as lecture buildings, laboratory facilities, facilities, and performance of online-based services, the ratio of lecturers, laboratory assistants, and information processors. The same thing also happens with institutional income which in the future must be proportional to development needs. These conditions receive serious attention to be handled so that Undiksha can get better.
Related to this condition, the faculty also has a very strategic role. Programs designed annually are required to lead to quality improvement. In this case, the head of the rectorate encourages breakthroughs in budget management through the autonomy policy of each faculty, which involves four phases, namely determining sources and uses, setting program priorities, program acceleration and revision, and disbursement and SPJ. “This is the independence of budget management. A moving faculty” said Lasmawan.
Delivered further, in preparing programs, faculties must be based on performance planning consisting of programs and activities to be implemented as well as performance indicators to be achieved by a budget entity. In addition, annual performance planning is also integrated which shows the relationship between the level of program funding and the desired results of the program. No less important, the preparation of programs carried out by the faculty must pay attention to the relationship between the output and the expected results of these activities, including the level of effectiveness.
In an effort to develop the university, in the 2021 fiscal year, faculties are expected to map and formulate existing potential in real terms. This potential can be developed to overcome problems and achieve work targets. “The program must be directed at objectively achieving faculty and university rankings,” he said. (hms)
