Prof. Dr. I Wayan Kertih, M.Pd was born on November 8, 1964 in Lembongan Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency to I Wayan Ngaba, a moorland farmer and new coral prospector, and Mrs. Ni Ketut Simi, a ceraken or palen-palen merchant. As the eldest child of three brothers, namely Ni Nyoman Karwi and I Ketut Taksu.
He is married to Ni Wayan Sukarmini and has three sons, Wayan Mahardika Prasetyawiratama, Kadek Dwi Wirasanjaya, and Komang Diva Prasetya Wira Dharma. Her son-in-law is named Gusti Ayu Putu Sri Indrawati, S.E., husband of Wayan Mahardika Prateya Wira Dharma. Gave birth to a daughter named Putu Kesya Aruna Yukinaya, who was her first grandchild.
I Wayan Kertih completed his elementary school education in 1979 at SD 1 Lembongan, graduated from SMP Negeri 1 Sampalan Nusa Penida in 1982, and SMA Negeri 1 Klungkung in 1985. During his education at these three levels, he often experienced financial constraints because his parents’ income was relatively low. small.
Thanks to family support, he then continued and completed his PMP-KN bachelor’s degree from FKIP Udayana Singaraja University in 1989. Participated in the master program in the IPS-SD Education Study Program in 1995-1997 at the Bandung State Teachers’ Training College. Doctoral education was taken at the Postgraduate Study Program in Social Sciences Education at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) Bandung from 2011 to 2015.
While serving as a lecturer since 1990, he has been actively carrying out assignments in the Tri Dharma of Education sector. Teaching assignments have also been carried out outside Undiksha. He has also been entrusted with being a guest lecturer at other universities several times. (hms)
