Singaraja– The Task Force for Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS) of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) collaborated with the Indonesian Family Planning Association (PKBI) Bali Region, Wednesday (9/8/2023). This collaboration was marked by the signing of an MoU between Undiksha and PKBI and also FHIS together with PKBI Bali Region.
On this occasion, representatives from PKBI Bali Region were received directly by Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I represented the Chancellor accompanied by Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS) Prof. Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M who represented the Dean of FHIS and Head of PKKS Undiksha Task Force Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H., M.H.
PKBI Bali Regional team representative Ni Made Tariani said that PKBI is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that has pioneered the Family Planning movement in Indonesia in 26 regions in Indonesia, one of which is in the Province of Bali. PKBI Bali Province has 2 programs, namely, a youth program called Kisara (We Love Teenagers) and a citizen chess clinic service program. In addition, one of the programs currently being worked on is increasing the capacity of story booths which aims to support efforts to prevent sexual violence in the campus environment. Therefore, it is hoped that the collaboration established with PPKS Undiksha can support this program.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Rasben Dantes expressed his appreciation for this collaboration. He conveyed, Undiksha is always open to collaboration and collaboration with various parties and continues to strive to improve so that it can become a superior and empowered university and give birth to superior generations in the future. Therefore Undiksha always tries to improve its quality, both in education and teaching, research, and community service.
In addition to the signing of the MoU, on this occasion, it was also carried out a sharing session by PKBI Bali Region together with Undiksha student representatives. It is hoped that the cooperation and activities carried out can prevent sexual violence in the campus environment. (hms)
