Singaraja– Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is again holding an International Summer School. This program which involves students from a number of countries was opened, Monday (24/7/2023). This program is a form of implementation of Internalization at home which was launched by Undiksha in 2019.
This year’s International Summer School program takes the theme “Cultural Heritage Tourism & Inclusive Community”. This program was attended by 37 students from Thailand, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. For one week, the students were invited to get to know the art and culture in Indonesia, especially in Bali. In addition, it will also carry out social activities in villages, such as Kayuputih Village, Sukasada District, and Pedawa Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. His presence in these two villages was also to find out about the arts and culture of the local community. There is also a visit to the museum in Buleleng Regency and at the end of the activity there will be camping.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., who opened the event on behalf of the Chancellor, hopes that the presence of students from abroad at Undiksha can provide an international climate and experience for the academic community.
Delivered further, this summer school program is a form of implementation of Internationalization at Home which has been launched by Undiksha in 2019. Through this program, Undiksha is expected to become a learning house for the international community.
The summer school program is one of the international programs implemented by Undiksha. Apart from this program, there are also student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, BIPA programs, fast track programs, and so on in collaboration with a number of universities abroad. (hms)
