Denpasar- Ganesha University of Education makes the 4th Annual General Meeting CAPEU (Consortium Asia Pacific Education Universities) an event as a medium to expand cooperation networks. Apart from being the host of this event, Undiksha also had the opportunity to present several leaders to discuss cooperation programs in the activities that were held at Inna Grand Kuta, Tuesday (4/2/2020).
Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI., revealed that through this event, Undiksha could jointly improve academic and non-academic performance, “Where the end of these programs is how to improve ranking both in QS and Higher Education Clusterization,” he said. Rasben also emphasized that the CAPEU meeting this time put more emphasis on collaborative programs such as faculty exchanges, staff exchanges, joint research, and publications. As a concrete form of this program, several things have even been decided, “In the meeting earlier, it was decided that CAPEU must have a timeline schedule. In 2020, CAPEU even has a target of publishing 1 article through joint research. Besides, we work together to conduct faculty and student exchanges and community services,” he explained.
Asked about Undiksha’s hopes for this program in the future, he said that 2020 would be the year of initiation of the CAPEU program and that all members needed the commitment to realize this program. “Our hope is that this consortium can be of value to all universities. So that programs or recommendations through meetings like this can be followed up with real actions at various universities. And we also hope that all members of the consortium share the same passion. Together, what we have decided to become a reality,” he said.
Apart from discussing the 2020 Program, at this event an opportunity was also given to the Head of LPPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. A.A.I.N. Marhaeni, M.A., to present the best-practice collaboration programs that Undiksha has carried out, namely in the Field Experience Practice (PPL) and Overseas Field Work Practice (PKL) programs that Undiksha has carried out since 2017. The program is expected to be a reference for CAPEU members in the development of education in their respective institutions. In fact, at this meeting, the enthusiasm of CAPEU members was evident for the possibility of the Overseas PKL and PPL Programs being carried out with their universities.
Moving on to the agenda of the 4th AGM CAPEU which discussed education issues, Undiksha had the opportunity to convey best-practice-expanding cooperation with new partners from several universities from Indonesia and abroad. It is hoped that this will boost Undiksha’s plan to become a learning center for the international community so that it becomes a superior university in Asia based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy.
