Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to strengthen the internationalization at-home program that was launched in 2019. Various types of programs are designed to be offered to students from abroad. “We were assigned to write an academic text for this internationalization program. Including the target number of students for the next few years,” said the Team Leader, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd after the meeting, on Tuesday (13/8/2019).
He explained, that in the program, there were designed to be about 13 activities offered to students, ranging from daily, monthly, and yearly to learning credits. “There are eight programs. Thirteen activities. But this is further divided into two, there are degrees and non-degrees,” he explained.
As a university located in Bali, the courses offered to students from abroad are also related to culture. As with lontar readers and digitization. “This is entered as a short course program. Culture is still accommodated in teaching,” he said. Currently, there are already a number of students from various countries studying at Undiksha. With the various programs offered, the number in the future is expected to increase. “We are trying to resolve this as soon as possible,” he added.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., wants the program that has been launched to receive full support from all departments and study programs because it is very important to support institutional accreditation. One of them is improving the quality of Human Resources. “I want this program to get better in the future,” he said. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor I Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI stated that this program must be supported by innovation. In the sense that from the start, what programs have been designed to be offered to students? With that, promotion will also be easier. “This is what I want the team to prepare,” he concluded. The former Deputy Dean I of the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocationalism wants a program that is clear and directed, to make this campus with eight faculties a home for the international community. “I also hope that the study program can offer what programs are suitable for students from abroad,” he added.
