Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is trusted again by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) as the implementer of Pre-position Teacher Profession Education or Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) part II in 2022. There are one hundred participants consisting of five clumps of study fields. Before the education process began, the participants attended an academic orientation on Friday (16/12/2022).
This orientation was held offline in Ganesha Room III Undiksha Rectorate Building. The participants were given material related to the PPG program’s general policy and the activity stages. Undiksha’s PPG Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that based on self-report data, 158 Pre-position PPG part II participants were divided into five clumps of study fields: education science, language and literature education, social science, Physical Education, Sports and Health, and Natural Science clumps.
PPG participants will attend lectures for two semesters with 39 credits. All are expected to show commitment and the best quality in this process. He emphasized that the PPG program is to realize prospective teachers or professional teachers in the future and become a source of inspiration, a source of motivation, and able to facilitate students. “This means that teachers are not only a source of knowledge,” he said.
The orientation was opened by the Head of Undiksha’s General and Financial Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd. She, who represented the Rector, also invited the participants to follow the education well, able to build collaboration, especially among participants.
These participants are expected to graduate one hundred percent and be able to become superior and competitive teachers. (hms)
