Singaraja- Hundreds of students who took part in the Professional Teacher Education Field Experience Practice (PPL-PPG) program in Position I in 2019 at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) were handed back by the Buleleng Regency Education Office. It is hoped that teachers from various regions can be more professional in carrying out the teaching and learning process.
Chief Executive of PPL, Dr. Dewa Bagus Sanjaya, M.Sc., said that there were 310 students who were handed back, after attending PPL for three weeks in 60 schools in Buleleng Regency, starting from PAUD to SMA/SMK levels. “They have taken the performance test. “Next, you have to take a knowledge test this week,” he said, Monday (6/5/2019).
Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si., said that PPL is a strategy to increase the professionalism of teaching staff so that in the future they will produce quality students. “We hope that through this program, teachers will become more professional,” he said.
As the only university in Bali that is trusted to organize PPG, Undiksha continues to strive to improve the quality of the program. Evaluation is carried out on an ongoing basis and coordinated with partner schools and the Department of Education, Youth and Sports. “So far, no problems have arisen. But we are still evaluating so that this program gets better. “We also hope that graduation can be one hundred percent,” he added.
Head of Teacher Development and Education Personnel, Buleleng Disdikpora, Putu Sriyasa appreciated the implementation of PPL. It is hoped that it can run sustainably and improve the quality of education, especially in Buleleng Regency. “We really support this program. Hopefully it can continue,” he concluded. (hms)
