Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) provided debriefing on Teaching Practicum or Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) for In-position Teacher Profession Education or Pendidikan Profesi Guru Dalam Jabatan (PPG Daljab) Category I 2022, Wednesday (7/12/2022). Through PPL, participants from dozens of study fields are expected to become professional teachers.
This activity was carried out online. In addition to the PPG participants, supervisors, principals of partner schools, and shadow teachers also attended. PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that this PPL was attended by 812 students in 15 study fields. In this case, Undiksha cooperates with 661 partner schools spread across 19 provinces consisting of 118 districts/cities in Indonesia. “The students takes part in PPL directly at the school where they teaches,” he explained.
He added that this PPL is a stage followed by students after deepening the material, developing innovative learning tools, and comprehensive exams. “Students who take part in PPL are those who pass comprehensive exams,” said Nurjaya.
The PPL implementation lasted for 31 days in each school where they taught. Principals are also expected to provide guidance to participants in order to create superior and professional teachers. “In the past, the Principals sent their teachers off to join PPG. Now they are accepting them back for PPL activities. We hope that the Principals can also provide guidance,” he said.
Meanwhile, the PPL debriefing was delivered by the PPG Undiksha team, Dr. Putu Mas Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Pd. Participants were given an understanding of the technical aspects and the stages that must be passed. (hms)
