The Ministry of Education and Culture has again opened registration for Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) in 2023. This program is held after undergraduate or applied undergraduate programs, both from educational and non-educational majors in an effort to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of education so that they are ready to become professional teachers in elementary and middle schools.
PPG Pre-service Registration for 2023 will officially open on Wednesday (31/5) starting at 13.30 WIB, the registration period will take place from May to next June. For those interested in registering, there are several requirements that must be met.
Registration Requirements:
- Indonesian citizens;
- Haven’t/been registered as a Teacher/School Principal in the Basic Educator Data (Dapodik) and Educator Information System and Education Personnel of the Ministry of Religion Simpatika;
- Have a diploma with an undergraduate academic qualification (S-1) or diploma four (D-4) which is registered on the Higher Education Database (PD-Dikti) or recorded on the database unit Equalization of Foreign Diplomas database for graduates from foreign universities;
- Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 (three points zero);
- Maximum age of 32 (thirty-two) years on 31 December 2023;
- Sign an integrity pact;
- Have a certificate of physical and mental health *;
- Have a certificate of good behavior * and
- Have a certificate of freedom from narcotics, psychotropics, and other addictive substances (NAPZA*).
The 2023 Pre-service PPG registration process will be carried out through a series of rigorous selection stages and carried out online through the official websitehttps://ppg.kemdikbud.go.id. Prospective participants are required to fill out the registration form in full and upload supporting documents, such as photocopies of diplomas, transcripts, and personal identification. The committee will verify the document. Prospective participants will also take an academic potential test, the field of study proficiency test, the pedagogical proficiency test, and an interview as part of the selection process.
Selection Stages:
After the registration process is complete, prospective participants will undergo a series of selection stages, such as:
- Document verification: The committee will check the completeness and authenticity of the uploaded documents.
- Substantive selection: This test aims to measure the academic abilities of prospective participants including tests of content mastery and basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Interview: The interview phase was conducted to evaluate the interpersonal skills and motivation of the prospective participants including competency, personality, motivation, and cognitive.
