Singaraja- The Stages of Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Batch I in 2024 at Ganesha University of Education has entered Field Introduction Practice (PPL). Hundreds of students were sent to partner schools who were expected to improve their pedagogical skills.
This PPL was attended by 135 students divided into the study fields of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Indonesian, English, Informatics, Physical Education, and counseling guidance. This activity was carried out in collaboration with 23 schools spread across Singaraja City, Buleleng Regency.
The implementation of PPL this time is different from before, namely divided into series 1 and series 2 with an in-on scheme, namely students spend one week on campus and one week at school. The activities will be held from January 29 to May 4, 2024, and will also involve 25 supervisory lecturers and 25 tutor teachers.
Coordinator of the PPG Undiksha Academic Division, Dr. Putu Mas Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Pd said PPL can provide a real experience to PPG students in applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they have learned in college. Apart from that, PPL can also be a means for students to improve their quality and pedagogy and prepare themselves to become professional teachers.
It is hoped that this activity can run well and that collaboration between participants lecturers and tutors can continue to be maintained so that the essence of PPL can truly be realized. (hms)
