Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) invites participants to the 2022 In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG-Daljab) to strengthen technological literacy. This is important to support the smooth selection carried out based on domicile.
Undiksha will carry out a selection in April 2022 for five periods. PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., Tuesday (12/4/2022) explained that in this selection, participants take part from a place of residence or a place that has internet access. This is not only sufficiently supported by technical readiness, but also non-technical, namely the readiness of the participants. This is because, based on experience in periods I and II, the implementation of the selection was hampered by a lack of ability to use information technology. This needs to be a concern of the participants and it is necessary to make efforts to increase or strengthen competence in the field of information technology. “Sometimes IT literacy or literacy is lacking and needs to be deepened. I convey to the participants to strengthen IT literacy,” he asked.
Delivered further, the ability of IT is not only to support the smooth implementation of the selection but later can also be a provision in the creation of learning content. Specifically related to the essence of PPG academic selection, Nurjaya emphasized that it is to capture academic or professional competence and pedagogical competence. This selection is also at the same time to form teachers who are socially competent and personally competent, which is demonstrated by adherence to applicable rules or guidelines.
Head of Undiksha Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd., also paid attention to this selection. He emphasized that the implementation must fully refer to the guidelines from the center. It is hoped that this will always be the concern of participants, supervisors, and the implementing committee.
Currently, the selection at Undiksha has entered period II with 986 participants divided into four sessions. In general, the selection went smoothly. Obstacles that had been experienced by the participants can be handled immediately. Previously, Undiksha also conducted trials that directly involved participants and supervisors. In addition, network and other technical readiness is also ensured. (hms)
