In the exam which took place offline, Gunahariati presented her dissertation entitled “Development of Problem-Based Learning for Patient Safety in Nursing Students at High Schools of Health Sciences”. This research was motivated by the absence of available modules with material in accordance with the WHO curriculum. “Therefore, as a patient safety teacher, I intend to make a book that is in accordance with the WHO curriculum,” she explained.
Even though during the research process there were a few challenges faced because they had to adjust the time allotted to conduct trials with the existing curriculum at educational institutions, in the end, the dissertation he presented was successfully defended before the Board of Examiners and led him to become the 35th doctorate “born” from Undiksha Postgraduate. “When implementing it, I have to follow the time available in educational institutions because we cannot directly provide, implement, or test what we make,” she explained.
The Promovenda who was born in Denpasar hopes that the results of her research can be useful for students as well as nurses. “So that in training during seminars or workshops, the material obtained is all from the modules that I made,” she hoped.
During her doctoral education at the Undiksha Postgraduate Program, she admitted that she did not experience significant problems because the lecturers were very helpful and patient in guiding her. In the future, the 3rd child of 4 siblings hopes that after she holds a doctoral degree, she can produce something useful both in the fields of education and health.
