Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) accepted 334 students from the 2022 second wave of the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program. Students from various universities in Indonesia will attend lectures in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.
The arrival of PMM students will take place before September 5, 2022, the start of lecture activities. In response to this, Undiksha prepared acceptance, including facilitating the provision of housing or accommodation.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., after giving directions at a coordination meeting, Thursday (18/8/2022) said that PMM is one of the programs from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology related to the Freedom to Learn Independent Campus (MBKM) policy. This program is to provide a new academic experience for students and gain an understanding of diversity which is also contained in the archipelago module. In this case, students will learn the local culture at the destination university, and mingle with other students who have different ethnicities, religions, and races. Thus, it is hoped that the sense of unity will become stronger and increasingly show that diversity is one of Indonesia’s wealth.
Delivered further, PMM students will attend education for one semester at Undiksha. The courses taken can be in accordance with the competencies taken at their home campus or those that support their main competencies. This is one of the essence of MBKM.
PIC PMM Undiksha, Dr. I Gde Wawan Sudatha, S.Pd.,S.T.,M.Pd said there was quite a lot of interest in PMM batch II for Undiksha, reaching a thousand people. However, only 334 people passed the selection. Selection of this program through the independent campus system. Students are also required to take a diversity survey.
This academic in the field of Education Technology explained that the implementation of PMM this time was carried out in full offline. In contrast to wave I which took place fully online. In addition, for the Archipelago module, the equivalent of 4 credits is given, more than before which was only 2 credits.
Apart from accepting, there were 29 Undiksha students who also took part in PMM at other campuses. Through this program, students are expected to have multiple competencies in order to increase competitiveness. (hms)
