Singaraja- The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all learning process arrangements, one of which is the implementation of the PERMATA SAKTI Program (Indonesian Archipelago Student Exchange – Credit Transfer System with Information Technology) in 2020. The program which was originally carried out sit-in at the location of the receiving university, is now fully online. Including at the University of Education Ganesha. This tertiary institution, which is included as one of the Teaching Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK) in Indonesia, accepted 170 students from 22 PTNs in Indonesia. Apart from that, Undiksha also sent 70 students from 18 Study Programs to 12 different universities in West and Central Indonesia. The welcoming and Farewell of Participants took place online, Monday (5/10/2020).
Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Gde Wawan Sudatha, S.Pd.,S.T.,M.Pd explained that Undiksha students participating in this program were spread over seven faculties, namely the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics, and Faculty of Sports and Health. Meanwhile, the study programs consist of Information Systems Study Program, Culinary Education Study Program, English Language Education Study Program, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Civics Study Program, Law Studies Study Program, Geography Education Study Program, Bachelor of Management Study Program, Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, PGSD Study Program, PG PAUD Study Program, BK Study Program, Educational Technology Study Program, Sports Science Study Program, Biology Education Study Program, Physics Education Study Program, Science Education Study Program, and Aquaculture Study Program. Undiksha students take several courses at several PTNs in the western and central regions, such as; Gadjah Madha University. Padjadjaran University, Brawijaya University, Airlangga University, Jakarta State University, Semarang State University, Surabaya State University, Yogyakarta State University, Jember University, Tidar University, Yogyakarta “Veteran” National Development University.
While students accepted by Undiksha came from ISI Padang Panjang, Diponegoro University, Gadjah Mada University, Jambi University, Jember University, Jenderal Soedirman University, Jakarta State University, Lampung State University, Malang State University, Meda State University, Padang State University, Semarang State University, Yogyakarta State University, Padjadjaran University, Indonesian Education University, Sebelas Maret University, Siliwangi University, Singaperbangsa Karawang University, Sriwijaya University, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Tidar University, Surabaya State University. “The most participants sent to Undiksha were from Semarang State University as many as 60 students, UPI Bandung 15 students, and Tidar University 13 students,” explained Wawan Sudatha.
Explained further, this year, Undiksha is holding seven excellent courses, namely; Non-Test Engineering Psychology Assessment, Balinese Fusion Food, Art Psychology, Sports Entrepreneurship, Public Sector Accounting, Air and Space Law, and Integrated Multi Tropic Aquaculture. This program will be held during the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. “Students who took part in this program previously took part in administrative selection. There are several conditions that apply. Active students in semesters 5 and 7, have never attended the same program before, have a minimum GPA of 2.75 as shown through KHS, and have the will and competence,” added this academic in the field of educational technology.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI., representing the Chancellor of Undiksha to give a speech. He said that apart from giving students the opportunity to study at other tertiary institutions, this program is to increase students’ national insight. “Obviously, increasing nationalism can increase integrity, solidarity, and national bond among Indonesian students,” he said.
This Badung-born official also hopes that all PERMATA Undiksha participants, both inbound and outbound, will be able to complete this program properly. “Happy participating in this activity. Hopefully, the brothers can finish it well. Hopefully, it will be useful and of value to everyone’s life,” he concluded. Dinda Meliana, one of the participants from Undiksha said that her interest in this national program had existed since she started her education at Undiksha. “From the start, I got information from my seniors. Because for me, this is a golden opportunity to be able to study at a different university and meet friends from other provinces,” said the student of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program.
He hopes that the benefits of this program can also be felt by the people around him. “Hopefully I can keep the character and cultural values that I got when participating in this PERMATA activity, and can be of benefit to everyone around me,” he said. A similar sentiment was expressed by Agata Widhi Feby Ratna Sari, a student at Sebelas Maret University. He said that the experience of studying at different universities encouraged him to join this program. “I want to try new things, try unexpected things, in this case, I try to explore myself because I like to decorate and am interested in Fusion Food,” he said.
This Agribusiness Study Program student also admitted that she wanted to know the learning process at Undiksha. “Especially by taking fusion food courses, I can add to my knowledge, creativity, and skills, especially adding value to the product by how we process and present our product,” he concluded. Through this PERMATA SAKTI program, Undiksha is increasingly strengthening its steps to support the implementation of the Free Learning–Independent Campus policy echoed by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
