Singaraja- Dozens of University of Education Ganesha (Undiksha) students participated in the 2019 National Homeland Archipelago Student Exchange – Credit Transfer System with Technology (Permata Sakti) selection. The interview selection took place, on Friday (16/8/2019). “There were 36 students who registered to take part in this program from several undergraduate study programs,” said the Head of the Undiksha Collaboration Subdivision, I Ketut Iwan Krisna, S.E on the sidelines of interviewing participants.
The number of applicants was less than the previous year which reached 40. This was allegedly due to new information approaching the selection schedule. However, he appreciated the student’s enthusiasm. “Undiksha gets a quota of 12 people,” he explained. Delivered further, students who passed the selection will follow the education for three months. There are six universities as destinations, namely Jakarta State University, Indonesian Education University, Surabaya State University, Malang State University, Makassar State University, and Manado State University. “The goal is for universities to have the status of Teaching Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK),” said Iwan Krisna.
The program selection is carried out strictly. Starting from administration and interviews. This is also supported by student achievement and the Grade Point Average (GPA) and have never been subject to academic sanctions. “Today’s interview. The results will be submitted to each study program. There will be determined who passes. One of them is achievement,” he said.
This year’s program is not only to develop students’ academic experience. But also to foster national insight, and cultural exchange with other students. “This is very positive. More emphasis on national insight. It’s not just about academics. This program starts according to the academic year of each destination university,” he added.
Applicants also provide comments for this program. Like Desi Yunitasari and her twin sister, Devi Yusvitasari. This fifth-semester student of the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, rated the program very positively. One of them is to provide insight into learning that is applied in other universities which can later be adopted. “By participating in this, we can add insight. So you know what other higher education institutions are like,” she said. (hms)
