Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) conducted an online socialization of Field Experience Practice (PPL) for In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG Daljab) students, Friday (16/6/2023). Through PPL, participants are expected to become enchanting professional teachers.
Apart from the PPG participants, this socialization was also attended by supervising lecturers, partner school principals, and tutors. PPL will be held from June 19 to July 26. PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that this PPL was attended by 270 students consisting of 3 fields of study, namely Natural Sciences (IPA), Physical Education Sports and Health (PJOK), and Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD). In this case, Undiksha cooperates with 245 partner schools. “We thank the 245 partner school principals involved in this PPG,” he explained.
Implementation of PPL for PPG students is one way that can be done to assist the government in realizing the country’s goals, namely realizing superior and quality Human Resources (HR). Emphasized, superior and quality human resources are determined by education. Therefore, this needs to get the attention of teachers and the need to build collaboration with related parties. “Our collaboration is truly extraordinary,” he explained.
Through PPL, the students are expected to be able to improve their quality so as to be able to become a personable professional teacher, both in terms of appearance, actions, way of speaking, and academic ability.
Even though the implementation of the PPL this time coincided with a school holiday, students were asked to continue to carry out their duties properly and to always maintain communication with the school, tutors, and supervisors. In addition, students are expected to always be proactive in finding the necessary information.
This PPL debriefing was delivered by the PPG Undiksha team, Dr. Putu Mas Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Pd. Participants are given an understanding of the technical aspects and the stages that must be passed during the implementation of the program. (hms)
