Singaraja- Another achievement at the national level was won by students of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha). This time it came from the Indonesian Student Science Competition (KSPI) which took place in Medan, North Sumatra on July 17, 2022. This achievement was won by Athanasia Gusanto from the English Language Education Study Program (S1) who managed to bring home gold and bronze medals.
There is an interesting and inspiring story from this student from Jakarta. In preparing for the Olympics, he is not only concerned with college matters. More than that, they are also enthusiastic about running private tutoring services. The path was taken not without reason. He must continue to help his parents who experience economic limitations. Her busy life did not discourage her from being able to appear in the Olympics. There is actually a motivation to show the best results. “Participants in this event are from PTN/PTS throughout Indonesia. I won gold and bronze medals,” she said.
His success in achieving this glorious achievement is of course the fruit of the careful preparation he has made and the role and role of the supervisor Dr. Kadek Wirahuni S.Pd, M.Pd. “Of course we are proud and very grateful, considering that we can immediately win two medals at the tertiary level,” she said.
The student who now lives in Singaraja City has been interested in taking part in the Olympics since he was a child. For him, the Olympics is one of the competitions that can be a driving force to continue to improve self-quality. “The Olympics always makes me uncomfortable,” she added.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., gave his appreciation for this achievement. “We at the leadership are very proud of the achievements of the students. We really appreciate it,” he said. He hopes that in the future more and more Undiksha students will be able to make achievements, both at national and international levels. Achievement is very important to increase the competitiveness of students and universities. (hms)
