Singaraja- Dozens of lecturers at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) took part in the Basic Training (Latsar) for Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) Group III. This training opened on January 28, 2020, at the Jinengdalem Campus, Buleleng Regency. The lecturers of various study programs are expected to have more integrity and professionalism.
Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Ketut Suma, M.S., explained that this training was attended by 40 CPNS lecturers. The implementation will last until April 9, 2020. The aim is to grow professionalism, build moral integrity, honesty, enthusiasm, and motivation for nationalism and nationalism, “As well as form a superior and responsible character,” he explained.
In order to meet the demands, he continued, it is necessary to organize innovative and integrated training, namely combining classical and non-classical learning in the workplace, so that it becomes a habit. “We want to go through this, be able to give birth to professional CPNS,” he said.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., appreciated the Ministry of Education and Culture for giving trust to Undiksha as one of the organizers of this training activity. “Hopefully in the future, Undiksha can have an Education and Training Institution. Because until now, we have been given the trust to carry out School Principal Strengthening Training and Education,” he said.
Undiksha currently has 9 basic training instructors for CPNS. It is hoped that in the future it can increase and continue to improve the implementation of training and education. Specifically for this basic training, it was explained that there were significant differences from Pre-service, both in terms of duration of implementation, teaching methods, and curriculum. “In this Latsar there is a method of On & Off Class, as well as On & Off Campus,” he explained.
It was reiterated, this training was carried out in an integrated manner with the aim of building moral integrity, honesty, enthusiasm, nationalism, nationality motivation, superior and responsible personality traits, and strengthening professionalism and competence in the field. “This also emphasizes the basic values of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), namely accountability, nationalism, public ethics, commitment to quality, and anti-corruption,” he explained.
Delivered further, this exercise will be a filtering/selection for participants to proceed to the next stage, namely to become civil servants. “Even though this activity is carried out on your own campus, the rules set out in this Latsar will apply as they should. There is no tolerance,” he said.
These young lecturers are seen as intellectuals and agents of change. Therefore it is hoped that it will be able to bring changes to Undiksha’s future progress as a Superior University based on Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045. “I also want this young lecturer to continue to improve himself. Can face the industrial revolution era 4.0. You can continue your studies at the doctoral level. I want everyone to be able to continue abroad,” he said.
Head of the Center for Employee Education and Training of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dra. Garti Sri Utami, M.Ed appreciated the training carried out by Undiksha because it was able to support the completion of the Diklatsar which CPNS had to take part in. “Since the Ministry of Education and Culture has resumed handling higher education, we have received an abundance of 6,651 civil servant civil servants who have not attended Latsar, even though this is one of the conditions for being appointed as civil servants,” he explained. He has high hopes for this lecturer’s CPNS to realize superior Indonesian Human Resources (HR). Therefore, it is hoped that there will continue to be efforts to improve self-quality and can become professional servants of the state. (hms)
