Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Tax Center Movement in collaboration with the Regional Office of the Bali Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DJP Bali) to increase public understanding regarding taxation continues. This movement targets Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Buleleng Regency, Thursday (29/4/2021). This activity took place at the Office of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Buleleng Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Head of the Undiksha Tax Center, I Nyoman Putra Yasa, S.E., M.Sc explained that cooperatives and MSMEs have a very important contribution in turning the wheels of the economy and in improving the management of the potential of an area. This big role cannot be separated from other obligations, including taxation. Therefore, this tax socialization and assistance activity is considered appropriate to carry out. “Currently, people are still afraid of taxation. In fact, if we talk about taxation, it is the highest source of state income which will later be enjoyed by the people through development programs. Secretary of the Office of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Buleleng Small and Medium Enterprises, I Ketut Yadnya, S.H., appreciated the implementation of this activity. He hopes to provide results and benefits, especially in increasing the understanding of taxation for business actors. “I express my appreciation and gratitude for holding this activity and hopefully it can increase understanding of taxation and increase awareness in paying taxes,” he said.
He emphasized that taxation is part of the yadnya. Therefore, there is a need for public awareness, especially business actors to make payments. “We must be aware that development is funded, supported by taxes. Therefore we must be aware of paying taxes, including by cooperatives and MSMEs,” he added.
Plt. The Chairperson of Dekopinda of Buleleng Regency, Nengah Tanaya, B, Sc., also hopes that this activity can run sustainably so that business actors really have a thorough understanding of tax obligations.
