Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to strive to improve the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) 01 for Higher Education, namely the percentage of undergraduate and diploma program graduates in the last year who have managed to get a job, continue their studies, or become self-employed. Apart from going through policies issued by the leadership, efforts to achieve this also receive support from the Senior Adhli Functional Officer, Nyoman Dody Widhiastana, S.T., M.M. He who took part in the National Leadership Training II in 2023 tried to design ideas that were actualized in a change project entitled “Strategy for Increasing Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 01 Achievements Through the Alumni Service System (SIPA) at Ganesha University of Education”.
The emergence of this change project idea cannot be separated from the achievements of IKU 01 every year which still need to be optimized, even though the target is always exceeded. Dody Widhiastana explained the concept of SIPA as alumni harmonization, namely the establishment of a harmonious relationship between alumni and alumni, helping each other and supporting each other, especially in getting a job or entrepreneurship. This harmonious relationship is in accordance with the philosophy carried out in Undiksha’s vision, namely the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. Tri Hita Karana is three harmonious relationships that lead to happiness for mankind. “By utilizing alumni and alumni networks in supporting job vacancy information and with this information system it makes it easy for alumni who have experienced problems wanting to inform job vacancies because there is no link. The long-term goal of this change project is the implementation of a regulated alumni service mechanism and optimum achievement of IKU 01,” he explained in a coordination meeting, Friday (9/6/2023).
The idea of this change project received a positive response from the Undiksha leadership. The Head of the Finance and General Affairs Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd said that Undiksha as an educational institution always strives to improve the quality of service, including system-based alumni. “This is really appreciated because of its direction in improving services. In addition, this system will facilitate the provision of data to support the implementation of other activities, such as accreditation,” he said.
SIPA is targeted to be completed by the end of July 2023. Therefore, designing it involved a team from the Information and Communication Technology Academic Support Unit (UPA ICT) and the SOP drafting team. (hms)
