Singaraja- The opening of the 27th Anniversary of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha), 8 January 2020 was sweetened with a cultural stage brought by student representatives from all faculties.
Performances in the form of traditional games, pencak silat, fragmentary, and so on took place in the ceremonial field of the Undiksha Central Campus. Even though the weather was hot and in the end, it was raining, the enthusiasm of the participants to show their work in front of thousands of spectators remained high. The leaders of the rectorate and faculty also remained loyal to witness and give appreciation.
The excitement of the stage was also increasingly felt when the support from every supporter appeared. Behind it, harmony is still very visible. Art that is staged is not just entertainment. But it keeps messages that are worthy of being implemented by students and the community. As is the case with traditional games, in an era that is thick with the onslaught of technology, this must be preserved. Likewise with other local wisdom. Other stages also invite students to be more serious about participating in education, so they can become a superior generation.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd appreciated the creativity of these students. It is hoped that the same enthusiasm will also be shown in achieving achievements. “Undiksha students have achieved a lot. We want through this creativity, in the future more will emerge,” he said.
