Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) students again gain achievements. This time it came from the 2022 Shorinji Kempo National Student Championship organized by Universitas Negeri Jakarta. In this event, Undiksha representatives consisted of Pande Made Mirah Permata Sari from the Management study program (S1) and I Dewa Ayu Dwi Partyastini from the English Education study program (S1).
At the event, which took place on October 1-2, 2022, Pande Made Mirah Permata Sari won 3rd place in the 55 Kg Female Randori category. While I Dewa Ayu Dwi Partyastini won 3rd place in the 65 Kg Female Randori category.
In this match, Pande Mirah Permata Sari won in the first preliminary round Vs. Tiara Maylafaizah Bangun from Universitas Padjajaran with one wazari. In the second preliminary round, she won Vs. Putri Rahmaniyah Anam Q, also from Universitas Padjajaran, with one wazari. While in the semifinals, they had to recognize their opponent’s victory, Pinky Carolina from Universitas Udayana with yusikaci.
Meanwhile, in the preliminary round, I Dewa Ayu Dwi Partyastini won Vs. Dwi Muna Ummu Azkiya from UIN Saizu Purwokerto with one wazari. In the semifinal match, she had to recognize the superiority of her opponent, Syifa Ataia from Universitas Syiah Kuala Aceh, with one wazari. In this match, she had to settle for third place.
Pande Mirah said her participation in this event was to seek experience and achievement and to introduce Undiksha Kempo at the national level. Therefore, careful preparation was done two months before the match. Dewa Ayu Dwi also expressed the same thing. “This is to bring Undiksha’s name to the national level,” she said Thursday (6/10/2022).
This female athlete has been involved in Kempo for a long time. Pande Mirah has started since she was in the 2nd grade of the elementary school in 2012. While Dewa Ayu Dwi since 2016. Therefore, it is not surprising that both of them have often received achievements at the national level. Pande Mirah won 2 bronze medals at the 2019 Kapolda Cup National Championship and one silver medal at the 2019 Bali Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). Meanwhile, Dewa Ayu Dwi has achieved achievements at the district and provincial Shorinji Kempo events representing the Bangli contingent. These 2 Kempo athletes of Undiksha pride are preparing to participate in the Bali Porprov event in November.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., gave appreciation for this achievement. He hopes that the potential of these athletes can continue to be developed and improved so that they can increasingly compete in the next competition. (hms)
