Singaraja- The achievements obtained by students of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) not only come from the academic field but are also non-academic. As one of them was won by Ni Komang Ary Dharma Pertiwi from the Family Welfare Education Study Program in the singing competition for the 77th National Independence Day series of the Republic of Indonesia which was held by STIE Satya Dharma Singaraja.
In the event which took place on 15 August 2022, Ary won 1st place by performing the obligatory song titled Indonesia Jaya and the free song entitled Must Be Happy, which belonged to singer Yura Yunita. Free songs are judged according to the vocal character they have.
This student from Singaraja admitted that she only prepared herself for approximately 2 weeks under the guidance of Dr. Kadek Wirahuni, S.Pd., M.Pd. Even though she was constrained by a busy schedule with campus activities, that did not dampen his intention to take part in this competition. This is certainly inseparable from his interest in the world of vocals. “Because I participated in several activities on campus, I had to be able to divide my time so that the preparation for the competition could be carried out as optimally as possible,” she explained.
Previously, she had participated in a similar event at Warmadewa University at the Bali provincial level and won 1st place in the Women’s Category. (hms)
