Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) was again listed as the winner in the competition. This time it was from a national sports event, the Bali Championship which took place from 5 to 7 July 2022. This achievement was presented by the Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM) which won twelve champions from various classes. This achievement also led Undiksha to become the second general champion.
Athletes who have succeeded in presenting champions are;
- Ida Bagus Putu Surya Adiwiyasa – Informatics Engineering Education (1st place in Men’s F class)
- I Dewa Ayu Mas Gita Pramesti- Elementary School Teacher Education (1st Place for Girls B Class)
- Siti Khotijah Rahma – Sports Science (1st place for Girls D Class)
- Komang Gangga Kurniawan -Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (1st Place in Men’s Class A)
- Kadek Agus Nusa Wardana – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (1st Place for Men’s Class C)
- Alfi Maisatul Mukaromah – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (2nd place in Class A Girls)
- Putu Sonia Erlina Wati – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (3rd place for Girls B Class)
- Sohibul Fahrozi – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (Hopeful Champion 1 Class G Boys)
- Ekin Dio Gokyansen Tarigan – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (Hopeful Champion 1 Class D Boys)
- Gede Agus Saputra- Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (3rd Place in Men’s Class D)
- I Kadek Yogi Pradinata – Aquaculture (1st place in Men’s E Class)
- Kadek Yogiyana – Aquaculture (2nd Place for Men’s Class B)
One of the athletes, Ida Bagus Surya Adiwiyasa, admitted that he did not expect to achieve results beyond expectations. This is because previously Undiksha only targeted to win five medals. Thanks to the maximum preparation and struggle under the guidance of Ni Luh Putu Spyanawati, S.Pd., M.Pd., I was finally able to achieve better results. “This certainly makes us proud,” he said, Tuesday (12/7/2022).
This achievement is also used as motivation to take part in other competitions as well as a measure of ability. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Undiksha Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for this achievement. “We are very proud of the achievements of our younger students. We are very appreciative, as well as for mentors who are very extraordinary. Hopefully, there will be more achievements in the future,” he concluded. (hms)
