Singaraja– Chancellor of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., encouraged all faculties and institutions to innovate so that his state university could become a trend center. This is in accordance with his vision in office for the 2019-2023 period. This was revealed in a leadership meeting that took place at the Engineering and Vocational Faculty (FTK), Wednesday (23/10/2019).
The Chancellor who is also the former Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Education stated that the trend center could be related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research and development, and community service. It is even possible for university governance which is also related to leadership. “One of the trend-centers that Undiksha can do is harmony leadership which is always echoed. This leadership compiles modern leadership and local wisdom and is expected to be a reference for all leaders, not only the chancellor but other leaders,” he said.
Emphasized, leadership harmony is not only in terms of good relations with each other. But also with God and the environment. “This must be done. Faculties must also determine activities or breakthroughs that must be demonstrated which can be used as trend centers. Is it in the field of education and teaching, research, or community service or is there something else,” he said.
At that meeting, the Chancellor of Jampel also asked all levels to continue to take strategic steps to improve the quality of development. Likewise boosting student achievement which is very important to support the clustering of higher education institutions, both at the national and international levels. “Now student achievements continue to emerge. His enthusiasm to participate in the competition is also getting bigger. This must be continued,” he added. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor II Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan emphasizes financial realization and programs in each faculty. It is hoped that everything will go according to plan.
