Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is increasingly showing its fangs. This is not only in the academic field but also non-academic. This time 16 contingent of Undiksha lecturers will soon compete in the LPTK Cup which will be held at Padang State University (UNP) from October 30 to November 4, 2019. Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. who was accompanied by several Undiksha officials sent off the contingent’s departure with a brief, meaningful ceremony in the lobby of the Undiksha Rectorate, Tuesday (28/10/2019).
Dr. I Ketut Yoda, S.Pd., M.Or. as Head of the Undiksha Contingent said Undiksha only took part in matches for the sport of tennis. The contingent competed in three different classes, namely Executive A, Executive B, and C. In order to get maximum results, preparations have been made since March 2019, starting to boost physical training, routine training, and friendly matches with several universities. The official who was recently appointed as Deputy Dean I of FOK for the second term also stated that the contingent was on-fire to compete in the 2019 LPTK Cup. “We are really in prime condition to take part in this championship. And hope to get maximum results, “he added.
The Chancellor of Undiksha emphasized that winning is not the main thing in the biennial competition, but that all contingents maintain sportsmanship and togetherness. “By maintaining sportsmanship and togetherness, we will be on the path to victory,” he explained. Not to forget, the man who was born in Bualu reminded all contingents to maintain health and fitness, because they will be having a long and tiring journey. As a sign of the release of this contingent, the whole team performed a salute ceremony and kissed the Undiksha flag. “This is a sign that we all love Undiksha and we are fighting on behalf of Undiksha,” said one of the contingents.
