Singaraja- The Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) held an evaluation meeting for 2022 activities in the Undiksha Library seminar room on Wednesday (28/12/2022). The activity was opened by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., MTI.
The UPT head of Undiksha Library, Dr. Made Hery Wihardika Griadhi, SH, M.Si., explained that from the evaluation results, human resources in the library are good. However, Library UPT continues to strive to improve performance in the future. In addition, librarians are expected to improve their competence and service quality continuously. “The better the service, the more visits, the positive image will increase,” he said.
He further explained that library accreditation would end in 2023. Therefore, preparations for accreditation must be carried out immediately, both in terms of budgeting which is one of the requirements for accreditation, increasing the competence of librarians through certification, and so on. “Budgeting is a requirement of accreditation to get good points,” he explained.
Hopefully, the budget allocation for libraries can be further increased in the future. Likewise, with infrastructure facilities. “The infrastructure includes computers, the number of rooms that can accommodate students, and the addition of E-book and book collections periodically,” he added.
Vice Rector, Rasben Dantes, appreciated the performance of the Library UPT in supporting the implementation of the educational process at Undiksha. He hopes that in the future, it can be better and supported by more innovations to improve service quality. “The book collection can also be increased and the utilization of information technology is maximized,” he hoped.
