Singaraja- The leadership meeting at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) took place, Thursday (28/2/2019). This meeting at the Faculty of Economics discussed a number of things, starting from strengthening institutional governance, and revising the curriculum to re-emphasizing the dean’s employment contract.
Undiksha Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that currently, the institutional governance is running well. However, to obtain accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), there still needs to be more maximum effort to make it even better. “What has been dreamed of for a long time has come true. He further stated that institutional development, including realizing the vision as a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, requires joint commitment. Meanwhile, for the curriculum, preparations are being made to increase the grade of the D-3 Study Program to D-4. There are nine study programs included as targets, namely Midwifery, Diploma-3 English, Accounting, Chemical Analysis, Maritime Aquaculture, Information Management, Electronics Engineering, Visual Communication Design, and Hospitality. All of them have been accredited by B. “There is also a request from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education that D-3 which is at least accredited B, can be upgraded to an applied bachelor’s degree (D-4). This study program remains vocational. applied bachelor’s degree,” he said.
Deputy Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si., said that in Permenristekdikti Number 54 of 2018, it was stated that students who initially chose to take D-4, but were able to complete three years, would not drop out. However, his graduation was given a D-3 level. Likewise, if you can only participate for two years, you will be given a D-2. Except for the midwifery study program, which has standard rules, you still have to be D-3 or D-4. “This is the good thing. Outside of Midwifery, it is flexible. That’s why there are three curricula prepared. There are for D-2, D-3 and D-4. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd emphasized again regarding the dean’s work contract, such as the accreditation achievements of study programs and the amount of research produced each year. “Accreditation and research budgets must also be considered,” he stressed.
