Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) in 2020 is holding an Online-based Independent Real Work Lecture (KMbD). In this case, students are required to make projects that are able to solve problems in society as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. “The Covid-19 pandemic has created a number of problems in society. We want students to be able to create projects that lead to solving these problems,” said the Head of the Undiksha Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPPPM), Prof. Dr. AAIN. Marhaeni, M.A., during the debriefing, Wednesday (20/5/2020).
Delivered further, there are 5 topics/materials in this KKN. Four of them are selected materials to be developed into projects, which are related to the prevention of Covid-19 from a clinical perspective, overcoming social and economic impacts, overcoming psychological impacts, and education/learning during/after the Covid-19 pandemic. “One other material must be understood by all participants because it is general in nature and all participants are assigned to create a blog as the output of the project that has been carried out,” she explained.
Head of the Undiksha KKN Center, Drs. I Putu Panca Adi, M.Pd., explained that the KMbD lasted for 5 weeks, starting from 6 July to 5 August 2020. There are two concepts in this KKN, namely independent KKN, and its full implementation is carried out in an online or virtual mode. Independent, meaning that the implementation is carried out independently/individually by students, which of course is adapted to the knowledge and skills mastered to learn to solve various problems faced by society. “This is certainly contrary to the previous conventional KKN which was usually carried out together in one group,” he explained.
Meanwhile, online is carried out entirely starting from the observation stage of problems in the community, planning, and implementation, to the evaluation stage. Regarding the target location of the KMbD, regionally it is not limited, participants can do it from their village of origin or current residence. The target community is determined by participants online, fulfilling the specified characteristics involving between 5 and 10 people. (hms)
