Singaraja- The Legal Studies Study Program conducted a Field Work Lecture (KKL) at the Constitutional Court (MK), on March 10, 2020. The KKL delegation was led directly by the Coordinator of the Legal Studies Program, namely Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H. On this occasion, the group was received by Abdul Goffar Husnan. In this MPA, the material is explained regarding the 5 points of the authority of the Constitutional Court. One of the main and first things is the examination of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. A very clear explanation was conveyed by the speakers including democracy, how to resolve disputes over the 2019 presidential election, and so on. It was also explained how the Constitutional Court which is a judicial institution has a very vital role in law enforcement in Indonesia.
Enthusiasm for the implementation of the MPA was evident from the discussion session which was running warmly. Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M. emphasized that students of the Legal Studies Study Program are required to know the process of running a trial at the Constitutional Court and what powers the Constitutional Court has. “Through this KKL, students know more about the implementation. Hopefully one day graduates from the law study program can become judges of the Constitutional Court,” he said. (rls)
