The Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) library, which plays a major role in improving academic abilities, continues to be given an innovative touch. It’s not just the book collection that continues to be added. But also from a service perspective that deserves to be known to the public.
Head of UPT. Undiksha Library, Made Hery Wihardika Griadhi explained that the library also offers free journal writing consultation services. This matter is handled directly by a professional librarian. “We open our arms wide, accept and provide free consultations for journal writing. This is handled by professional librarians. Not many people know,” he explained Monday (5/11/2018). This service is prioritized for the Undiksha academic community. However, outsiders are still permitted, provided they register as members of the library and do not borrow books.
Still related to journals, this library, which has just received accreditation from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI), also provides access services for free or at lower costs. “There are several journals that can be accessed for free. That’s the librarian who knows. “Through this service, students and lecturers can get journals that are not burdensome,” he said.
Supporting this breakthrough, facilities were also added in the form of computers that can be used to access book titles. It can also be used for doing assignments by students. “Then in reference, there is a collection of rare and expensive books. “There you can ask the librarian for the necessary information,” he added.
