Singaraja- Having status as a student is not only required to be able to think critically. In the era of revolution 4.0, what is considered very important to have is a creative, collaborative, and communicative attitude. Specifically regarding creative attitudes or creativity, it is simply considered as the ability to produce something new, which can have an impact on society. Creativity can also be a capital to face competition.
The Department of Indonesian and Regional Literature (JBSID) Faculty of Languages and Arts, University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) is one of the ‘houses’ of education that pays attention to the growth and development of creativity in students. This attention is realized through an academic forum entitled Literature Class. “This activity emphasizes the achievement of goals to ignite students’ literary creativity to support a culture of creative thinking among students,” said the Head of the Department, Dr. I Wayan Artika, S.Pd., M.Hum, Thursday (22/7/2021).
This activity was rolled out in four virtual sessions. First, on July 19, 2021, Wulan Dewi Saraswati was present as the speaker who brought up the topic “Poetry and Love”. Second, on July 26 2021 speaker I Gede Aries Pidrawan brought the topic “Packaging Literature into Creative Products”. Third, on August 2, 2021, speaker I Ketut Serawan presented the material “Student Creativity Products Sourced from Locality”. Fourth, on August 9 2021 with NI Nyoman Ayu Suciartini presenting the topic “Books as Product of Student Creativity”. “The presenters are alumni who are experienced in the creative process of literature. The material discussed was very interesting and varied,” said this academic from Batungsel Village, Tabanan Regency.
This activity added Artika, is also at the same time in order to increase participation in the planning and implementation of Community Service (PKM), which is a faculty program. “This activity is also to foster ideas and ideas for PKM activity proposals based on science or literary theory,” he concluded.
