Padang- Indonesian National Education Convention (Konaspi) was held at Padang State University (UNP) from 13 to 16 March 2019. This ninth activity was a medium for generating ideas in dealing with problems that still entangle the field of education. Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), which is part of it, also delegated dozens of academics from various scientific fields. Not only as a participant but also directly presenting an idea together with representatives of other universities.
At the opening which took place in the UNP Rector’s yard, this activity was attended by 2,089 participants from a number of universities, including those with status as Educational Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK). From Undiksha, the Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. The Chancellor from South Kuta, Badung Regency stated that his party was committed to contributing to the success of this activity, including encouraging lecturers to participate in contributing thoughts or ideas in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. “This is a place to contribute ideas or ideas about educational development. “How can education get better,” he explained.
Meanwhile, according to a report from the committee chairman, this activity, which was also supported by 32 faculties of educational sciences in Indonesia, carried the theme “Education in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0”. There are a number of sub-themes, ranging from increasing understanding of Pancasila values, and organizing professional and vocational academic education to developing major and minor curricula. Apart from that, an international conference was also held which presented speakers from a number of universities in Indonesia and abroad. This activity was opened by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Muhammad Nasir and took place lively with artistic performances. (hms)
