Singaraja-Hundreds of applicants for National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) for Student Admission for the 2023/2024 Academic Year at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) indicated that their required documents were invalid. On this matter, Undiksha provides an opportunity to make objections as well as re-verify. This took place, Monday (5/6/2023).
Documents that are re-verified include report card scores on the School and Student Data Base (PDSS) that do not match the scans of uploaded report cards, diploma/SKL documents, and certificates of health or color blindness that are incomplete/incompatible.
This verification received monitoring from the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He was accompanied by the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd said that this verification was carried out to facilitate prospective students who have problems in the verification process on the system, besides being a mandate. He emphasized that this verification really needs to be done considering that documents in the form of report cards, diplomas/SKL, as well as certificates of health and color blindness, are indicators in the selection of new student admissions, especially through the SNBP route. “So the University verifies whether the value entered on the PDSS is the same as the original one,” he said.
Delivered further, Undiksha prepared two verification schemes, namely offline for prospective students who are in the Bali Province area and online for those outside the Bali area.
Based on the data, there are 787 prospective students accepted through the SNBP. Of these, 131 people had to re-verify. Prospective students who do not come offline or online will be deemed to have resigned. “For those who don’t come offline or online, we consider them to have resigned. I think this is very important to do,” he said.
It is hoped that in the future, inputting documents into the new student admissions registration system can become a serious concern and be scrutinized by prospective participants and the school so that the same mistakes do not occur. (hms)
