Singaraja- Internationalization at home was launched by the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) in 2019. This policy is already underway. This is demonstrated by the presence of students from abroad who are studying. One of them is from Windesheim University, Netherlands. Student reception took place in the LPPPM Seminar Room, on Friday (1/3/2019).
Head of the Undiksha Office of International Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Ni Made Ratminingsih, M.A., explained that this year, Undiksha has launched internationalization at home. Steps taken to support this include accepting student PKL and PPL programs from a number of universities in ASEAN countries. Likewise vice versa. The presence of 19 students from the Netherlands was considered very positive because they were also part of the launch. “We really appreciate the presence of these students to study at Undiksha,” she said.
Undiksha’s acquisition of accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) was also conveyed on this occasion. It is hoped that foreign students will no longer hesitate in pursuing their education. “We hope this program runs well. “Undiksha’s accreditation is A,” he said.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes said that the students would take Indonesian language education at this university which has a Faculty of Medicine. In this case, they are also expected to be able to learn directly about Balinese culture, especially Buleleng Regency. “In learning, we also want each class to be filled with local students. So they can complement each other. We also recommend that you join the Student Activity Unit (UKM), according to your interests and talents. For example, sports,” he explained, hoping that this program could be sustainable.
Program Coordinator from Windesheim University, Jannie Lensen, said that her students studied for six months. Through this, we hope to gain new experiences. Not only academic but also non-academic. “We are very happy to be able to come to Undiksha,” he said accompanied by the Coordinator, Thyse. (hms)
