Singaraja- Another proud achievement was achieved by students of the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). This time it came from the 2022 Inovillage Program held by Universitas Telkom, Bandung. In this prestigious event, 3 Undiksha teams won awards. The award was received on December 16, 2022.
The first team consisted of Anak Agung Gde Suyoga Wiguna from Physics Education Study Program (S1), I Wayan Sugiharta from Science Education Study Program (S1), and Ni Putu Lista Pebriani from Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program with Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Mardana, M.Si. as supervisor. The team, named Abdi Jaya Pangus, won the First Runner Up Community Engagement award through their innovative work on developing an Organic Chili Farming Center with a Digital Technology Horticulture Polyculture System.
The team leader, Agung Gde Sayoga, explained that this innovation resulted in an installation of an agricultural cultivation center demonstration plot with an IoT-based drip irrigation watering system and modern chili supports with a polyculture planting system for various types of chilies and onions. In addition, this team also produced a biofertilizer and biogas reactor unit that produces POC fertilizer and the formation of modern tomato farming management.
The second team consisted of I Komang Restu Widi Artha from the Physics Education Study Program, Putu Ekayanti from the Chemistry Study Program, and Kadek Semi from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program with Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Mardana, M.Si. as a supervisor. This team presented the work of a Light Pests Trap and Watering System with Digital Technology on Organic Horticultural Farming in Terunyan Village, Kintamani, Bangli. This team became the 2nd Runner Up in the Appropriate Technology for the Community category through this work.
Team Leader Restu Widi Artha explained that the work is an environmentally friendly pest trap on plantations based on solar cell energy and an IoT-based automatic watering system. This student from Tabanan Regency said he participated in this event because he wanted to serve the community by contributing new ideas for Bali’s agricultural sector.
The third team consisted of Luh Laksmi Mahayuni and Putu Eka Aprilya Purwanti from the D3 Midwifery Study Program, and I Komang Sasra Wiardana from the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program with Ni Nyoman Ayu Desy Sekarini, S.ST., M.Keb., as a supervisor. This team developed an application entitled CHECKITMOM: Self-Screening Application for Growth and Development and Child Stunting Potential.
The CheckItMom application monitors growth and development in toddlers, which can be done regularly and minimize developmental deviations in the toddler phase. This innovation was applied to BKB cadres and mothers of toddlers in the Innovillage 2022 activities in Tegal Linggah Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
The Team Leader, Luh Laksmi Mahayuni, explained that the application that had been developed was aimed at helping Toddler Family Development or Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB)cadres and mothers of toddlers in monitoring the growth and development and potential of child stunting independently. This innovation was chosen as the Best Community Engagement Innovillage 2022.
All the teams certainly welcomed the achievement of this award. This achievement is inseparable from the competition with other teams, which is very tight, and the innovations were extraordinary. This achievement received appreciation from Undiksha leadership. “We from the leadership congratulate and success to the team that has won the awards.
