Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to strive to improve quality, especially with regard to institutional governance. For this reason, all sections were asked to produce intelligent programs. “It’s not smart to create a program. This is different,” said Vice Chancellor II Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., in a meeting, Tuesday (5/11/2019).
The former Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Economics said that the program designed and rolled out must be in line with the work contract between the chancellor and the ministry, including those relating to nine accreditation standards. “This should be used as a reference. Most importantly, the budget allocated must be able to produce good quality programs, in accordance with expectations,” he said.
At the meeting which took place in the Rectorate’s Ganesha I Room, the target of Non-Tax State Revenue (BNBP) was also discussed, including for 2021. All institutions, units, and other related sections were asked to be able to maximize their existing potential so that the income of universities that have the status of a Service Agency (BLU) can be increased. This will automatically have an impact on accelerating the development of institutions, such as infrastructure. “For example, at LPPPM, programs must be designed that can be included as PNBP. Likewise with units. The management of existing potential must be maximized,” he said.
The use of the budget is also a serious concern. Everything requested must be in accordance with the rules and accountability is clear. This is also one of the efforts to defend Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia three times in a row. “Don’t let the budget be used for unplanned programs,” pleaded the man who is also the Chairman of the Vice Chancellor II Forum throughout Indonesia. Smoothing the program, he added, coordination between departments is also very necessary. In fact, it is mandatory. “Don’t walk alone,” he added. (hms)
