Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to strengthen and optimize cooperation programs in order to improve the quality of institutions, students and graduates. Cooperation is not only with national and international universities, but also with the Business and Industrial Companies.
In this occasion, Undiksha weaved collaboration with 4 agencies, such as: Commerce and Industry Organization of Buleleng Regency, the Representative Council of the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association in Buleleng Regency, Pawnshops, and the Department of Trade, Industry, Cooperatives, and Micro Enterprise of Buleleng Regency. The signing of MoU was conducted virtually, Tuesday (15/6/2021).
Vice Rector for Academic and Cooperation Affairs Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., said that Undiksha wants to become one of the international reputable universities with a focus on education and leadership. Therefore, Undiksha initiated more collaborative activities, especially with the entrepreneurial industries. He stated, “I appreciate all partners who have collaborated with Undiksha, by various activities with our students and also the lecturers,”. On that occasion, he was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Undiksha, Dr. Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., M.Si., Ak.
Furthermore, it was stated that Undiksha always improves education programs which refer to the eight main performance indicators set by the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of the main performance indicators is how universities are able to produce excellent graduates, who are competent in their fields and have character. Rasben said, “So in the main performance indicators presented by the ministry, all universities must be able to create graduates who are able to get decent jobs.”
Besides, Undiksha also wants its graduates not only to be job seekers, but also to be able to create working place through entrepreneurship. Rasben concluded that Undiksha should be able to design various opportunities through several programs to improve the quality of Undiksha, such as the quality of graduates, lecturers, and curriculum quality.
The partners also responded positively to this collaboration. They stated that they were ready to collaborate in order to improve the quality of human resources, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. After signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), it was expected that the programs would soon be designed. (PR)
