Coordinator of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, I Wayan Sadyana, S.S., M.Sc. explained that student participation in the program was an applicative form of the learning that had been carried out. “One of the study program profiles is as a Japanese language expert in the hospitality sector. This program is the application,” he said. Apart from receiving training, these students also receive Japanese language learning, and cross-cultural learning, and make presentations within the framework of personal development. On this occasion also mentioned cooperation with Vassel Hotel. It was emphasized that it was a form of collaboration designed by Undiksha through Kowa Copr. Japan. “Through this learning, students have the opportunity to take part in training for six months and to deepen their mastery of Japanese,” he explained.
The Chancellor of Jampel appreciated the participation of students in the program. He conveyed that currently, Undiksha has collaborated with several hotels in Japan to hold internship programs. However, expansion efforts are continuing, one of which is with the Marriot Hotel Okinawa Japan and the second wave of students has departed. “As for the Vassel Hotel, this is Undiksha’s first departure. For those who left earlier, they immediately worked there after graduating, “he said.
He emphasized that in this program, students are also asked to echo the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which forms the basis of Undiksha’s vision as a leading university in Asia in 2045. “This creates harmony. So students should also be introduced to it,” he concluded. (hms)
