Denpasar- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is carrying out Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for the Completion of Proposals to Improve Diploma III to Applied Bachelors (D-IV), Friday (15/4/2022). The activity which took place at the Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur, Denpasar was opened by Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I.
He said that since 2019 Undiksha has tried to implement an applied undergraduate curriculum. “In 2019 we have tried to implement an applied undergraduate curriculum, actually at that time Undiksha we carried out an evaluation of the 2015 curriculum, and also because we are entering the Industrial Revolution 4.0, so we have included some literacy,” he said.
Delivered further, in 2020 Undiksha is proposing a change from Diploma III to Bachelor of Applied. Through this Bimtek activity, it is hoped that it can help the entire proposal drafting team. “Hopefully we can bring these 8 study programs to become applied scholars,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Higher Education Development for the Vocational Program of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Drs. Sudarsono conveyed this Bimtek as a follow-up to directions from the Director General of Vocations to immediately propose an increase in Diploma III to an Applied Bachelor. “This Bimtek was indeed carried out considering that the Director General asked us to immediately go to Denpasar to do our best, of course, related to the proposed increase in Diploma III to an Applied Bachelor.” he said. He also appreciates Undiksha for participating in a program that is completely new and there are no examples in the context of increasing Diploma III to become an Applied Bachelor,” he added.
This activity was also attended by Agus Nugroho, S.T., M.T., Lipur Sugiyanta, Ph.D., Muhammad Zenuriyanto as the guest speaker and also attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., Head of the Undiksha Bureau, Chair and Secretary of the Undiksha Learning Institute and Quality Assurance Center, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Economics, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, and the Proposal Development Team in each faculty.
