Singaraja-The Department of Law and Citizenship at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a National Webinar with the theme “The Face of Law and Education in Indonesia in 2021” online, Thursday (25/2/2021). In this webinar, specifically inviteKeynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M. one of the Professors of the Faculty of Law, University of Udayana.
This event was opened by Deputy Dean I of the Undiksha Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Dr. I Nengah Suastika, M.Pd. who on that occasion conveyed how later the science of law could be closely related to the world of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Through this webinar, participants can see the face of law and education in 2021. This is urgent because the Covid-19 pandemic has given its color to our educational practices,” he said.
Suastika did not forget to express her high appreciation to the keynote speaker and the resource persons who are all women for their contributions to this webinar. “I would like to thank the speakers who have attended at this time. Through these legal heroines we will try to innovate in digital learning, both in terms of models synchronous or asynchronous, he said.
Before closing his remarks, this Bangli-born official hopes that the National Webinar will be useful for the participants. “Hopefully it will be useful for all of us, especially the participants, both students, educators, practitioners, and educational academics. And hopefully, brilliant minds will be awakened about how the education process is in this digital era, “he concluded.
A similar view was expressed by the Chair of the Webinar Committee, Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H. who revealed that this webinar was expected to be useful for the 500 participants who joined online. Asked about the purpose of this activity, he also revealed that the purpose of this webinar was to provide new insights for the community. “The aim is to provide insight and views regarding the face of law and education in Indonesia in 2021. We know that the Covid 19 Pandemic has had a significant impact on the world of education and how this is viewed from the science of law,” she said on the sidelines of the activity.
After the opening ceremony, the webinar started with a presentation of material from keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M. who delivered material “Understanding Copyright Protection Comprehensively: A Legal-Based Education ApproachKnowledge, Skill and Value“. In her presentation, she revealed that technology cannot replace everything in education. “It is true that technology cannot replace the main substance of education, one of which is the direct interaction between teachers and students. Like now, with online learning programs, there are Work From Home, The Freedom to Learn Program causes the development of the work of educators as well as students. So this is where there is a need for legal awareness in the use of copyrights,” she said.

Alternately, the eight resource persons presented their respective materials.
Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M. said that the Series 1 National Webinar is a collection of national law and education heroines who have had high experience in their respective fields. “Through this webinar, we want to convey ideas and views on law and education in 2021. Hopefully, this series 1 national webinar will inspire students, practitioners, academics, and the general public in facing the challenges ahead.
