Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is preparing to face Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Teacher Profession Education or Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), Wednesday (30/11/2022). Facing this Monev, a preparatory coordination meeting was held, Monday (28/11/2022).
The meeting, which took place at the Sunari Hotel, Lovina, Buleleng, involved the study coordinator, partner school principals, tutor teachers, and Activist teachers. This meeting discussed several things related to the technical implementation of Monev and the parties which would participate directly.
PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that Monev is usually done to guarantee the quality of PPG activities or implementation, both Pre-position PPG and In-position PPG. It was emphasized that so far, the PPG implementation at Undiksha had fully referred to the technical instructions set by the ministry. However, Undiksha was not reckless in dealing with this Monev. Preparations are still conducted, both related to documents, best practices, formulating PPG implementation, and the obstacles encountered. Said Nurjaya, Monev is used as a form of reflection to improve the quality of future PPG implementation, both for Undiksha and the ministries.
Stakeholder support for PPG implementation at Undiksha is considered very good. “The proof is that now all school principals are all present, tutor teachers and activist teachers really support this activity. Moreover the Undiksha internally, everyone is supportive,” he said.
Furthermore, Nurjaya said that the implementation of PPG at Undiksha in 2022 was going well and still prioritizing quality. This is shown by the PPG In Position Phase I passing rate, which reached 85%. This figure is considered quite high. (hms)
