Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) through the Technical Implementation Unit for Career Development and Entrepreneurship (UPT-PKKM) continues to make efforts to develop student careers. One of them is by increasing knowledge shared through webinars. As it happened, Tuesday (17/11/2020).
This activity was opened by the Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., accompanied by the Head of UPT PKKM, Nyoman Karina Wedhanti, S.Pd., M.Pd. The speakers presented were Etiana Indriati (Head of PPKLKM at Pancasila University Jakarta), Dewi Rachmawati (Head of Incubation & Start Up Business, IKB LSPR), and Rosaria Mita Amalia (Head of the Padjadjaran University Career Development Center).
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Suastra appreciated the implementation of this activity because it gave knowledge to students in planning for the future. In addition, this activity is relevant to the Chancellor’s work contracts with the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Finance, one of which is the uptake of graduates in the world of work. “To achieve this, we must prepare and can go through such a process, starting from character building as well as providing career guidance and provision, training, and workshops. So it’s not instantaneous,” he said.
Delivered further, entering the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and increasingly tight competition in the world of work, Suastra said students needed to have competencies related to flexibility and adaptability. “We encourage every unit, every activity, both academic and non-academic, to always be able to develop various competencies that really prepare students for the future,” he said.
