Singaraja– Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is holding a 2020 Village Development and Empowerment Holistic Program workshop (PHP2D) via Online (Online), Tuesday (9/6/2020). Through this activity, participating students are encouraged to prepare proposals carefully so they can pass them to the center.
Vice Chancellor III Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., who opened the event, explained that the proposals proposed by students should focus on development, coaching, and community empowerment. Therefore, the proposal must be adapted to the problems that occur in the field. “So the general goal is how students can care about problems in the village. Create programs that will improve the welfare of the community,” he explained.
Delivered further, these proposals are strictly selected and must compete with other universities. Therefore, in order to get maximum results, coaching and mentoring are needed seriously, moreover, proposals must be submitted to the center no later than June 30, 2020. “This coaching is very important. We hope that many proposals will pass,” said Suastra.
This workshop was presented by Dr. rer. nat I Wayan Karyasa, S.Pd, M.Sc. He explained that the program design must refer to the problems that ensnare the community. The proposed program must be able to provide benefits, both during and after the activity takes place. “The proposed program must also be innovative,” he said. It was further explained that when preparing the program, students need to know the initial condition of the target community and describe it factually. In this case, student sensitivity is highly demanded. “What problems are faced, it needs to be explored. This can be a reference for program implementation,” he concluded. (hms)
